While browsing through the news headlines of google i chanced upon an open letter of one news reader to Mamta Banerjee. The writer had intelligently sledged Mamta di and tried out a technique to confuse the readers.
According to this newsreader, Elite are the ones who swindle in suits and hide their otherwise non elite thought patterns in intelligent brain cells and Non Elite are the ones who speak out openly like Mamta Banerjee. This newsreader says Mamta knows not only to bark but also to bite. To be honest this news reader's wife screeches through news time and as a newsreader (only talking about the quality of her news anchoring and nothing personal) when she reads news we surprise whether it is bark or bite. If quality is a matter this lady would not be there in newsrooms. Forget criticizing Mamta di.. First you should try to correct your shortcomings.
This Mamta Specialist writer wants to dictate that he is too elite to say Elite does not like Mamta Di. We people think Elites are we the educated people who can differentiate the bias and prejudice of even a news anchor, politician and common man and can speak out when we need to speak. According to this newsreader if Mayavati installs her statues all around in Uttar Pradesh it can be loaded as a non elite act and if an English speaking VIP misuses his influence to give undue fame to his associates it can be highlighted as an elite act. There a lot of clauses we find in this news reader's writing and he has intelligently added a kind of non elite etiquette. He expects that whatever he writes should be taken as the final word without any protest. Question them and we know how they react and off late people started treating people like him as a different clever section of political group rather than honest media.
We, the really educated people do not laugh at Mamta or any other politician with bias and prejudice. We understand that we do have limitations and imperfections like any other human being but when people forget that and try to point out only our mistakes ahead of their giant errors we speak out and we believe it is not a crime.
Mamta Di may be a little too loud like this news reader's screechy wife but thousand times better than those intelligent backstabbers who finish off others with silent poison. Infact, silent detractors can cause more damage to a nation than one Mamta Di. We educated ones in general don't have any political idols and we can be sure that we will not take sides of one Mamta Di or to one Jythi Basu or to one Yediyurappa or to one Rahul Gandhi to settle our scores.
We, people understand the whole politics and counter politics played behind the scenes and the dramas created in news rooms.
Unfortunately, we with our elite thinking learned to believe that law and law enforcement authorities of this country is biased like any average human being like this specialist news reader.
Yes, it is time for educated people to think in this way;
